It was around 8 in the evening and I had booked a cab for returning home. I shut down my laptop ; waited for the cab to arrive. The driver rang saying he had arrived at the spot and I rushed down. I took my seat and asked the driver to start the trip. No sooner did he drive for a kilometer I remembered that I had left my stuff in the office. I had bought some face wash and home stuff. It was Friday evening and i could not let the stuff lie around for the weekend. I asked the driver to take me back to office but it was one way traffic and he could not go back. He had to stop the car on the other side of the road. I called up my colleague to check if he was still there inside and if he could hand me over my stuff. He replied saying he had already left the office and was about to leave in his car. I grew sad a bit. I decided to go back to office and pick up my stuff. I requested the driver to wait till I return. I stood on the road and waited for the cars to stop so that I could cross the road. On seeing that I was no able to cross the road, the driver came out of his seat and helped stop the vehicles for me to cross the road. He accompanied me to office. I felt extremely grateful towards his kind gesture. Till date no driver had extended such helpful gesture towards me. I ran towards the office and picked up my stuff. While coming down, I thought if the driver would still be waiting for me. I came outside; looked around and saw him standing towards the end of the road. He again stopped the vehicles and helped me in crossing the road. I thanked him from the bottom of my heart. I was delighted at his kindness. I blessed him.
After reaching my destination , I thanked him again. While giving feedback to him, I wrote words of appreciation for him.
I would always remember this kind gesture of the driver that he displayed towards me. I was glad to see that the world still has some good people left.
